Printing and Scanning

All of our libraries have printing and photocopying services available to the public for a fee (see Fees and Charges webpage for more information).

Printing from your device

We are able to print documents and emails through our "BYOD print" service. You will need to be connected to the internet for this to work! Print jobs are held for up to 24 hours, so they can be sent from home!

Send your documents in an email to monitor@print.apnk.nz and wait a couple of minutes for a job ID to be emailed back to you. Once you have the job ID come up to the counter for staff to release the job. To print the content of an email, send it to monitor@print.apnk.nz without any attachments.

Printing from our computers

Our computers are available free for public use on the APNK network and can be used to print webpages, emails, and documents. Send your print job directly from the computer (rather than following the instructions above) then come up to the counter for a staff member to release your print job.

Photocopying

We can photocopy in A4 or A3 size in colour or black and white. We are also able to resize to print larger or smaller than the original.

If you have any heritage material to be scanned, we have high quality scanners in each branch that are setup for preserving history. See the Heritage Digitisation page for more.

Scanning

We have the capacity to scan to either email or onto a USB stick. Scanners around the district look as shown except for Milton who have a dedicated public scanner. If you need help scanning, please ask any of our friendly staff.

When scanning to email we recommend you email any documents to yourself first, before forwarding to a third party, as any replies to a scanned document will not be received by the sender.
