Kids
Early movement
We aim to provide programmes around our district that promote early movement and learning in toddlers. This also provides an opportunity for new and old parents alike to get together and form social bonds. You can check our events page to see whether we have any early movement focused classes coming up, or reach out to a staff member in your local library to express your interest in these classes being offered.
Storytime
Reading and storytelling with babies and children promotes brain development and imagination, develops language and emotions, and strengthens relationships. We offer comfortable seating in our libraries where impromptu storytimes can take place, or you can check our events page to see whether there is a storytime scheduled.
Brick Club
We hold brick clubs around the district aimed at the after school crowd, 5-11. Pre-school children are also welcome to join during this time, but we encourage caregivers to stay and engage in play with them. Bricks can include LEGO, Duplo, and other types of block or building based activities. The goal is to create social connections and improve imagination through semi-structured play. Check our events page to see what brick clubs we have coming up!
