Library opening hours to change for training

The Clutha District Council's community libraries in Owaka, Lawrence, and Tapanui will be adjusting their opening hours to accommodate staff training sessions.

Clutha District Council Head of Libraries and Visitor Information Debbie Duncan said the staff training aimed to ensure that library teams received valuable training opportunities in engagement, innovation, and organisational performance.

“The Milton team will also be taking part in the training, but we have managed to keep the facility open with other available staff.”

Balclutha hours are also unchanged.

Online services such as e-books will not be affected, and books and resources can still be returned through the after-hours facility. Public Wi-Fi will work as normal during this time.
